The designation as a European Cultural Route is tied to a routine evaluation of Via Habsburg by the European Institute of Cultural Routes (https://www.coe.int/routes). This process takes place every three years and is currently being carried out for the 2022–2024 period. Via Habsburg has submitted all evaluation documents on time.
